Jes Churchman
A Seattle based artist specializing in watercolor and gouache painting and illustration. Her artwork is inspired by nature and folklore from around the world. "Through my paintings, I want to capture the sense of wonder and enchantment that we feel as children and bring it into the present day".
Jes began her art journey early through colored pencil and charcoal drawing, and while creativity and craftiness endured throughout the years, Jes set aside practiced art for many years. After a significant and prolonged illness which led to medical retirement, Jes sought out art as a means to reconnect with herself and practice meditation each day.
Through this practice, Jes has reconnected with art and self and wishes to share that positivity with fellow artists and you through Bee Kind Art Collective. Through positive messaging and art that inspires joy, Jes created Bee Kind Art Collective as a safe space for artist and collators alike.
When Jes isn't creating art, she is hanging out with her family and two wonderful dogs Duke and ChewBella, preferably at home or out in nature. You can follow Jes on Beekindac channels and also @jesfiguringitout on instagram.
